It only took over ten years of wedding photography, but I finally got to photograph my first Indian Wedding and it did not disappoint. There were many moments through out this day that left me breathless, laughing or almost crying! The day was packed with a plethora of vibrant colors, life and culture. My couple was so full of joy to be together with their family and friends.
This day was beautifully planned by Maddy of Little Wedding Blush. The design of the mandap and ceremony location was beautiful and perfect for including their friends and family. I loved how the colors came across on medium format and 35mm film. I had such a fun time photographing the action of the grooms welcoming Barat, ceremony, and Bollywood dances - it was the most fun I’ve had in a long time!
Thank you so much for trusting me with your day V & K!

Working with Lindsey and Kelvin was such a treat. Not only are they two absolute gems, but they brought so many thoughtful details to their day, orchestrated beautifully by Jami Marzano Events. While Block 41 has so much natural character, I loved how Lindsey & Kelvin brought that extra warmth to the very large space. The candles and warm glowing lamps really made the space feel like home for the evening. And the modern florals designed by Florist Cha brought a serious wow factor to the ceremony and reception.
This was a truly timeless day and such a pleasure to be a part of. Thank you Lindsey & Kelvin!

Ah, Saltwater Farms. This place has my heart! There is something about the modern architecture of the house and barn nestled in the incredible landscape of San Juan Island. Getting married on one of the islands always makes a wedding feel extra light, breezy and happy! Not to mention the incredible couple who brought me out for this special day, Claire and Bobby, are high school sweethearts <3 They grew up in Yakima, WA and were drawn to the San Juans because of the shared farm culture and also just to show off the Pacific Northwest to their guests.
This wedding was FULL of style - Claire gathered custom broaches for the groom and groomsmen. She had a gorgeous silky dress with a whimsical neck sash for her reception, and long lace gloves for the party portion of the night. I also loved how they had Yakima peaches strewn throughout the cocktail hour and reception spaces, and a special beer brewed with Yakima hops available at the bar. The reception details were so fun and unique with a neon sign, vintage cake topper, and bright striped dinner menus. This is a wedding you’ll definitely want to take notes on!
